Moving into aged care
Moving Into Aged Care
The decision to move into aged care is not easy, and Edgarley strives to develop a facility and a culture that respects residents’ independence, dignity and individuality.
We encourage potential residents to contact us and arrange a visit to the facility. You and family members can be taken on a tour of the facility, meet the residents, staff and the CEO, and discuss financial and other arrangements to relocate to Edgarley.
Book A Tour
The CEO and/or the Director of Nursing can lead you through the complexities of aged care and give you the information you need to make a decision and start the process of moving into aged care.
Organisation
As an organisation, we are committed to providing person-centred care to meet our residents’ individual choices, preferences, and health needs. Person-centred care promotes positive interaction between the career and the resident and ensures the resident is actively involved in their care and supports their physical, emotional and spiritual needs.
Following the decision to move into care, new residents will complete a lengthy process (approx. 1.5 hours) of admission to Edgarley designed to ensure the level of care, services, interests and requests of individuals can be undertaken and accommodated appropriately.
