Edgarley Assisted Living has a new Chief at the helm, after conducting an extensive recruitment process.
Chair, Alan Elijah, was pleased to announce this week the appointment of David Knight from Leading Healthcare as Edgarley’s new Chief Executive Officer. Leading Healthcare is a boutique commercial advisory firm which provides strategic, commercial advice to the aged care and retirement living sectors, including providing executive services.
“David comes to the role with extensive aged care and redevelopment experience,” Mr Elijah said.
“He has previously held executive positions in the area with Lyndoch Living, Warrnambool and Eventide Lutheran Homes, Hamilton.”
The new appointment comes after former CEO, Steve Toope, resigned in September for family reasons. Mr Toope had led the organisation for the past eleven years.
Mr Elijah said it was important to find someone with the right experience and knowledge to lead the organisation through a number of developments happening at Edgarley, including the exciting new $14.5 million expansion.
“The Board wishes David every success and looks forward to working with him and all of Edgarley’s dedicated staff in the new year,” he said.
