Dear Edgarley family,
As always, I begin these updates by thanking you all for helping us to keep Edgarley Covid-19 free. It is only through your continued efforts, understanding, patience and co-operation that we have been able to enact the infection control measures required of us to keep our home safe.
Specifically, I write to remind you of the restriction to visitation we have in place. Whilst we all note that general restrictions in our communities have eased, visitation to aged care facilities given our high risk setting, have not. Visitations continue onsite by appointment only. I thank you all for your participation in this process to date and for the high level of update to virtual visiting. Please note that as we approach Christmas, we would love to discuss with you how best to facilitate some increased visitation, given many family members may not have been onsite since February. Please contact Judy Jones to discuss any potential changes to your agreed visitation plan.
By way of preparation for Covid-19 we have received support from numerous government agencies, including the DHHS, Aged Care Quality Commission, Worksafe, Western District Health Service and the Australian Defence Force. All of whom have provided quality feedback which has been enacted onsite. A copy of our Coivd-19 outbreak management plan can now be found on our website for your interest. I would encourage you all to continue to monitor our website along with our other social media platforms to keep informed of any changes occurring onsite.
I will continue to communicate changes to our environment with you as and when they happen, and I look forward to joining you all for additional online catchups moving forward.
Kind Regards,
David Knight
Chief Executive Officer
